So, tips are appreciated. \n\nMy main character I'm doing right now is Flak if that is a need to know.",

Just read the description and see what you like. If you’re struggling with damage, make sure you have on level gear and are matching elements to what enemies are weak to. \n\nIf you want to farm for legendary gear this website tells you which enemy drops each piece of gear and at what rate. \n\n[loot lemon](https://www.lootlemon.com)\n\nHere are some builds from the community as well\n\n[Fl4k builds](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MiGGa_HDpm_IzHWgfhIDkLxzqiL_7O5HRC8E8ICerQg/edit)"

      "body": "It's perfectly fine to do that. Generally if you're doing that you pick a specific gamechanging skill in the tree and funnel points to grab it ASAP. For example on FL4K you might have chosen Megavore (orange tree capstone)."

      "body": "The skills deeper in a skill tree are usually stronger but it usually doesn't hurt to see if there is a good sustain/hp regen/shield regen early on in another tree.\n\nAs others said you can respec at a quick change station, a tip for this, spend your money on SDU's (inventory/ max bullet upgrades) first as the respec cost is always 10% from your total cash."

      "body": "Usually with me I just do whatever I think is good for my character at the time and build accordingly. In normal mode it doesn’t matter too much and you basically just do what you want.\n\nWhenever you get to mayhem mode it’s a whole different story and that’s when you should start researching and focusing on a strong build."
    },
    {
      "body": "Depends on what you're trying to do. Sometimes it is good to go all in on one tree at first so you have a powerful capstone to help your character along. Nothing wrong with trying something, and if it doesn't work, paying to respec."

    {
      "body": "Most players will capstone (get last skill) a skill tree before moving to the next, starting with the tree the action skill you use is part off.\n\nYou can spread them out early on, but most skills in a tree are synergistic and become better when they are active at the same time. \n\nBut sometimes skill trees have 1 OP skill in the first row (blue tree for Moze has skag den which is broken) \n\nMy opinion, try to get halfway in a tree before looking to split the remaining points you. At max level you can capstone 2 trees and have about 12 points left to put wherever you feel it fits best (more in the same trees already capstoned or I. A 3rd tree)"
    },
    {
      "body": "Not really, it depends a lot on which character and which skill tree. By default you’ll have no issues unless you’re playing mayhem mode and struggling with damage, in which case you probably want to research specific skill tree builds for your character!"

    {
      "body": "it can, and sometimes it's a better idea to spread out.\n\nfor example - in bl2, if you're playing maya, it's suggested to get a few points into the middle tree, even if you're planning ondoing the left or right tree first.\n\ngaige, too. if you want to go for anarchy focus early on, it might be better to get that bullet bouncing skill on the left early on.\n\nor like, melee amara. since you're not going to be great at melee earlier on anyway, it'll probably be better to grab say, do harm, restless, ascendant, anima, illuminated fist, and then work on the green/purple trees. even there, getting ebb and flow/combo breaker, not to mention cryo, might be better than mainlining the green tree for blitz.\n\nthat being said, there's often very powerful middle of a skill tree skills, and of course the capstone could be an immense game changer, that might make it worth making a beeline for ASAP.\n\nthe maya example, for a second reference/take. spending a few points for getting life after a phaselock kill makes a lot of sense. however, also getting ruin, the elemental tree's capstone skill, is a MASSIVE deal, and shouldn't be delayed like, 10 levels, because you wanted to max that skill, and then wreck. it can be important to get these capstone skills before the final boss, in bl2 and TPS"

      "body": "it doesn't apply to everyone but generally, better skills are tucked away more towards the bottom of the tree, meaning you have to invest in lower tier skills to access them. i'd heavily recommend investing in one tree purely for the sake of getting the capstone skill (i.e the final skill in a tree) as those are usually the most powerful and game breaking skills characters tend to have (i.e overkill, bloodsplosion, many must fall, critical ascension, etc). \n\nbut again it depends, for some character i invest halfway into two or three trees if i think it's better, just experiment"
