Hell the \"cover lady\" for Motriam is a Red-Haired Female Archer... Even small details like Horizon's flowy red grass used for stealth is also copied over. Like if you were to tell someone that Light of Motriam is a spin off Horizon, most people would believe you because of how similar it is."

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but Palworld was first shown back in 2021, and the success that it gained only began early this year once it reached early-access and final release.\n\nThe development time for an open-world game like this would have took some years of lead-up, so that can't be it, right?"

People actually do know better, and sincerely making a good game will actually what sells the game to people.\n\n\nFor Palworld, you are ignoring that behind the scenes Sony is doing a massive push for the developers by shouldering a lot of the marketing and developing costs, meaning their success is not their own but is backed by a multimedia giant in hopes of coping a piece of Nintendo's pie (which is why a lot of Japanese are siding with Nintendo over Sony)."

"body": "Genshin didn't rip off anything, though, it wears inspirations on it's sleeves and does plenty to prove that it is not just plagiarising BOTW from day one, it is a good game with developers who are dedicated to making a good game which is what allowed it to become a runaway success.\n\n\nTo say Genshin plagiarised is to call Zelda plagiarising Ghibli, or that Gurren Lagann plagiarised Getter Robo."
