"selftext": "* Pals need level 2 mining to mine ore.\n\n* Capturing a pal from behind gives a capture rate boost.\n\n* To ride a pal:\n\n>1. Unlock the pal's specific saddle in the tech tree.\n\n>2. Craft it in the pal gear work bench. It will appear in the key inventory tab, not your main inventory. Also the game will let you craft multiple but you only need one.\n\n>3. Summon the pal and hold ~~E~~ F. \n\n* You don't take fall damage while riding a pal\n\n* Crafting items, building stuff and repairing gear will all pull items chests in your current base. No need to carry around wood or stone.\n\n* Ores, trees and such respawn after 24 in-game hours\n\n* Raw berries don't restore sanity, so your pals will slowly go insane and refuse to work. Cooked food, hot springs and fancy beds all restore sanity.\n\n* Ancient technology points are earned by killing bosses. Tower bosses gives 5, roaming bosses give 1.\n\n* Press B then C to instantly deconstruct things you've built.\n\n* Fire pals are easier to find at night because they glow.\n\n* Press 4 to command your pals. Two important ones are don't attack if it keeps killing pals before you can capture them, and attack aggressively when fighting raiders.",

Foxicle has been the best for keeping my fridge cold 24/7 I keep a feeding bin right next to her so she doesn't gotta go far for food. And a bed right next to her as well so she doesn't have to travel as far for bed like my other tames. To also help keep things fresh just auto sort the fridge to refresh their timers. It's a little bug for now that helps until there is another solution.",

You DO find books (from chests) that give 1 2 or even 3 additional points that will let you unlock everything...eventually.\n2. You can change your pals attacks.\n3. Higher tier crafting stations mean you can deconstruct lower tier versions of the same crafting station.. \n4. Not all of the pals are listed in the paladex. The list shows 111 but some (Elphidrin) have a B version. Some can be captured others can only be obtained Via breeding.\n5. You get GOLD keys from killing the Black Market merchant. \n6. The wild life sanctuaries are a great place to find super rare pals.\n7. Many pals have hidden or passive stats the game really does not tell you about. Cativa increases your carry capacity by 50 in your party (more if you level it via condensing) Wumpo adds 120 if in your party. And they stack. Others make your attacks do elemental damage such as Chillet (must be mounted) or Anubis (must be active)."

It isn’t talked about because in theory it has some decent rationale behind it, and because there are bigger fish to fry.
