"selftext": "I know the game isnt out yet but i really like the game mechanics they have and i hope they add more detailed stuff. Like more detailed crafting, cooking, killing and stuff like that. I think it would be cool if in the future they dd more ways to interact with palmons like instead of them always attacking back, sometimes they run away into the forest or the water. Maybe some of the flying palmons will fly higher or fly away. Stuff lile that and more",

"body": "That's kind of a difficult question to answer. I don't demand more mechanics than we've seen previewed already, but how satisfying the game will be depends on how well it executes those mechanics it does have. For some people, maybe the mere combination of elements is funny/intriguing enough to win them over, but I need them to actually be fun to play, and also be reasonably devoid of issues like glitches and slowdown. Weak AI could suck much of the excitement out of battles, as could overpowered leveling, which has been the case in the worst Pokemon games made lately. In BDSP, leveling is so stupidly OP that you never even have to learn the type mechanics that the series is built upon. It's not known yet how many Pals there are and I'd prefer to have less of them but have them all better realized, than more of them half-assing it.\n\nAs to what I want implemented in the future that doesn't seem to be already, I'd want more hand-to-hand combat capabilities for humans, and some sorts of mechanisms in place to \"have your cake and eat it too\" when it comes to playing single or multiplayer. If you play a game like this singleplayer, you mass out on a lot but if you play it multiplayer, you have to be in there constantly or other players will exploit your absence. I think a way around this in both cases would be NPCs, put in to imitate human teammates",

And alot of the moves that look strong and have aoe dont do much hitstun or knockback, i feel like there should be more of it. Maybe more aggressive attack patterns instead of doing 1 attack and then just standing there for a bit. I know this isnt a triple a title, im just thinking about cool stuff that would improve the game ilfor the future. And more ragdoll physics"

"body": "Well I know this is not the case but I have been playing a game called arena breakout on mobile it’s a fps but where you aim what type of ammo u use is just as important if not more important than the guns you use. Because in that game where you shoot matters Becase if you hit someone in the head it’s almost always a kill shot if you shoot someone in the arm it can breaks there arms. With this if someone has good armor on shots to the chest do a lot less damage so another popular statage is shooting legs Becase they are unarmored. And when the legs break you can’t move as fast or run with out pain medications. I personally think that if those types of mecanics were added to a creature collecting /fps game like this where where you aim matters it could be really cool. So each creature could have certain spots that are weaker and certain spots that are better armored."

Kinda jank and an overall extremely bad choice on their part. I've seen quite a few games that have crossplay between steam pc players and uwp versions. All versions should be the same build. If steam port has to wait an extra day or two for patches I think it's acceptable and fine, to keep the versions in parity.",

"body": "Quite literally they could have built around a schedule that creates version parity. Would it genuinely hurt anybody if they updates released at the same time? If they ever intend full cross play functionality( probably not considering the choice with versions mismatching) they've made it harder on themselves in the future. \n\n\nEdit: turns out they do in fact plan to support FULL cross play functionality in the future, which makes this choice to not just release the steam version once 1.2 is certified by Microsoft even more absurd because eventually they're going to need to wait anyway to release updates on steam until uwp updates are certified.... The steam update schedule will need to sync with uwp sooner than later \n\n\nsource: found in the official pocket pair discord.
