"selftext": "Anyone have any idea when the updates will happen? I LOVE the game but it’s already starting to feel kinda boring. I know it’s early access but you would think that with the major success they have they will accelerate x10 and prioritize adding major content asap so people don’t get bored. If I were them I would add x100 new pals each month and bunch of other things.",

"body": "100 new pals a month alone is a *huge* ask. I would much rather see them take it slow and introduce things after they've ironed out bugs, even if it means... I dunno, playing other games in the meantime.\n\nA batch of new pals every 2-3 months and maybe a new island in the chain, alongside new content like PvP, raids, a proper storyline, feels much more reasonable. It would certainly keep me coming back to the game more than feeling like I have to keep up with a hundred new pals and buggy content every month.",

They need to onboard them and coordinate them. And find them.\n\n100 pals each month would not only be absolutely impossible, it would also overwhelm the absolute majority of the player base. \n\n\nThey also need to fix the game instead of blindly shoveling pals into it if it should have any long-term success, It gets a lot of goodwill because it is EA, but the expectation is that bugs will be fixed...",

For instance, console servers might have been a \"in 2024\" thing that gets pushed up to \"June 2024\" due to pressure/influence from Microsoft, since it's on Game Pass, etc)\n\nTakes time to discuss \\*how\\* to code/develop/implement the roadmap\n\nTakes time to \\*test\\* all that stuff\n\nTakes time to release stuff (there's not just a \"push this live\" button, it's a process)\n\nTakes time to then address the bugs that no one caught in the previous steps (not a reflection on the team, some bugs/issues just don't pop up until it hits production, no matter how great/thorough your QC is). \n\n\n\nPatience, young padawan."

Checking out the latest patch notes I'm going to say no they haven't added anything substantial yet but they're talking about a big summer update that'll add a new island so maybe there's hope."

"body": "I am not sure what your knowledge of system development is, but what you are suggesting is nearly impossible to happen. Remember: nine pregnant women don't have a baby in one month.\n\nWe all want new content. I would love to have real things to challenge using my powerful breeds, I would love to have a PVP arena, I would love to have some time based events, I would love to have cosmetics, I would love to have new islands, I would love to have several new things...\n\nBut more than that, I would prefer not to have to keep unassigning/assigning back Pals to my base to unstuck them from trees or walls. I would prefer not to have to turn the drop items off on my server because I am dying of falling on a non-rendered map. I would prefer not to have my food disappear because there is no option to prioritize tasks for the Pals.\n\nA big move is if they can get out of this \"Early Access\" stage to something more \"final\", so that they can release on Playstation to keep up the hype for new people and continue growing in the player base and revenue.\n\nIt will take some time but I am sure they will get there."

"body": "Don't expect anything until May/June in my opinion , this game and its server is running on fumes. They are struggling to keep up with the demand with the staff they got . Until they don't hire new people , train them and organize themselves as a workforce then nothing is happening. The thing is that if they don't keep up with the pace , the game may die really quickly ."

"body": "lol 100 new pals each month. This is hilarious. If they add 100 new pals over the course of the life of the game I would be shocked. Keep in mind I can see them to adding cryst, ignis, aqua, noct, terra, and lux variants for most if not all. \nAdding more people is a terrible answer. Look at larger studios they add people to the point where it is counter productive and costs billions to make a steaming turd, looking at you skull and bones. Keeping the staff small and only adding people when it is absolutely necessary keeps the game focused and maintains a unified direction."
