FIXING AUTO OPTIMIZATION ISSUESOne thing I've found handy when using GeForce Experience is to choose a few notches below recommended for my system. This can be done by hitting the wrench icon next to the optimize button and adjusting the slider accordingly. This, however, still generates an unhealthy amount of lag, even on decent PC's.TASK MANAGER PRIORITIESThis one's a game-changer, and works on a lot more than games. Load up GTA to the point where the game is up, hit CTRL ALT DELETE to access task manager, and go to "Processes". Arrange the list according to memory usage so GTA V is at the top. Right-click and go to "Select Priority >", then choose Realtime High. EDIT: Avoid Realtime, because it can be risky to the system. Thanks to Puggles for pointing this out to me.This allows GTA to draw resources away from other programs and use it automatically. Additionally, if you have a quad-core, make sure that under "Select Affinity...", it's set to use every core, unless you're Mr. Multitasker.MANUAL OPTIMIZATIONSAnyone who's ever used an auto-optimization knows the technology is far from accurate, and I know a few methods to take away from the GPU and put it on the CPU, or vice versa, depending on need.FOR CPU PRIORITYIf you have a more advanced CPU, make sure the AA is set to FXAA and the shadows setting is utilizing one of the sharp/soft/softer/softest settings.FOR AMD GPU PRIORITYChange the AA to MSAA and set the factor accordingly. Additionally, use the AMD CHS shadow option for maximum streamlining of shadow textures.FOR NVIDIA GPU PRIORITYChang the AA setting to MSAA and set the factor accordingly, but also enable Nvidia's TXAA to avert the resources going to the processor to the GPU for maximum efficiency. For shadows, use Nvidia's PCSS settings.
