How do I remove Rockstar Social email from my steam account?

I bought GTA V from steam years ago and used a different email account for the Rock-star social account, that email address is no loner in use, so after buying RDR2 I can't make a new account with them as they keep say my email connected to my STEAM account. I have spend weeks going through Rock-star's 'support' and in the end they said they couldn't help me. Now I can't play any Rock-star games as the email I used years ago is linked to steam and I no longer have the ability to log in to it. What can I do?
