"title": "For Honor used to be so fun and now with crossplay it becomes unbearable to play!",
"selftext": "I used to play For Honor when it first came out and would crash every other game and it was really fun but I got tired of the servers and crashing so I gave it up and moved to other games. Now recently I decided to give it a try again and and it’s still such a fun game but the PC players make it unbearable and it won’t find a match with cross play turned off. They literally sit there and block every attack and spam the same moves. They’ll get on this thread and claim that it’s console players and not them but it’s always them. You can’t tell me that sitting there and clicking keys on a keyboard doesn’t give you a huge undeniable advantage, and when I search the gamertag it never shows up. I just don’t understand why It can’t be console only like Siege. For Honor is such a cool game and Ubisoft has messed it up since it was released. It’s so frustrating to try and have fun and enjoy a game and have to deal with real life losers who will do anything to have an advantage on everybody in a video game that’s suppose to be fun.",

The higher framerate and high refresh rate monitors are the real kicker. You can still totally outplay pc players though; try feinting more attacks/bashes and guardbreaking or parrying their dodge attacks. If your only complaint is them blocking your attacks then maybe you should try more things that can't be blocked."

{

How do you know they're on PC?\n\n2.\n\n>They literally sit there and block every attack and spam the same moves.\n\nThat's 100% a skill issue on your part, if you're throwing easily blockable offence and not even throwing bashes or unblockables, let alone forcing the opponent to make a read then that's on you for failing to play offensively.\n\nAnd if they spam the same moves, and it works, it's again all on you because you fail to adapt to it. If they're spamming a move, you're spamming a mistake.\n\n\nNew Gen consoles with performance mode on are able to play at 120fps, they can compete with mid to low high end PC systems quite competitively, and higher end PCs are not only expensive, thus rare. But also have diminishing returns the higher your frame rate goes. Unless you're on old gen, you're coping because you can absolutely compete.",

"body": ">How do you know they're on PC?\n\ni figured this one out if the ubisoft logo is there (playing from playstation/xbox) and the name on top matches the name below its PC if its different then its opposite console. \n\n \nkeep in mind OP here has said they left if back when it was still a pier to pier connection game, so going from pre-season 6 to now is a massive set of changes and basically playing a different game.\n\n> \nNew Gen consoles with performance mode on are able to play at 120fps\n\nnot available for those of us playing on the Series S"

"body": "While PC players do have a bit of an advantage, long term players have gotten very good at the game on all platforms.\n\nMore likely you're just in a MMR bracket that you shouldn't be and need to lose a bit to even it out. It happens when you play with groups too often or if you haven't played in a while because the MMR reset at a couple points."

"body": "I’m a PC player, and I also don’t like cross play. \n\nEvery console players I meet doesn’t watch objectives, mashes attacks and cannot gank for shit. When reading a console players rep, I automatically halve it to determine their skill rating on the PC side. \n\nSorry guys, I know you’re a casual market."

"body": "😂 \n\nI feel you bro. I dislike the crossplay because you have players who like to cheese, or jump and act all tough and when you want to trash talk to them you can't because they have the protection from chats 😂.\n\nBut understand in For Honor, it's a game of numbers, unfortunately having more frames painted at a faster rate means they can see the game faster... think of it as they can see into the future.\n\nXbox Series X or PS5 can indeed run 4k 120 yet For Honor won't keep that rate unless you're monitor has HDMI 2.1 and like 165+HZ... Also the Xbox and PS5 wifi dongle are weaker because they're internal than external and plugging to the Ethernet doesn't guarantee high amount of Internet Speeds due to have to filter still through the dongle.\n\nPC players will always be superior in a game like this, you can do your best but they'll out play most console players due to specs over skill. Which sucks! But oh well... What can you do.\n\nStupidly, Ubisoft's filter for players is \"Those with crossplay\" and \"Those without crossplay\"\n\nMeaning even if you turn it off, you won't find a match unless other Xbox players play without it on For example"
