"title": "How to kill Berserek Ymir. Use Doom!",
"selftext": "I had a lot of trouble with Berserek Ymir, he has 650k HP and 500k ward.\nHe regenerates ward and ward turns very often and my Maji Deity lvl 236, A5, with both Deific Channel and Great Meditation II I couldn't do more than 60k damage, even with my best gear.\n\nThis all because of his Berserek enhanced defences, it is definitely not enough to break through his ward regeneration.\n \nAll untill I changed weapon to my Final Horseman's Scythe.\nThis weapon can inflict Curse and Doom debuffs.\n\nI didn't intend to use Doom to be fair, I was just shuffling blindly to find anything to brake stailmate.\n\nUntil I noticed the Doom countdown on the dragon. This debuff does some monstrous dot, 150k damage per tik.\n\nYmir went down in 4 turns after countdown ended.",

"body": "Sequencer Heretic with Multi-flare and constant Deific Channel does the trick too. For me, that is... \n\nI personally use Ashen Bird with A. Kaladanda fully adorned with Blackened Eyes, so I often run with Deific Channel active 90% of the time. At the same time, I'm lazy and I use a very poorly upgraded Amadan's Staff and that's enough to get me to 5-turn the Ymir without dualcasts. \n\nDamage-wise, you could replace the pet with Chimera for a more constantly present damage bonus. You can ditch Amadan Staff for a better second weapon against Ymir, and you'll benefit from the dualcasts lining up to obliterate his ward. Dualwielding should give you enough magic to actually break through a DB loop.",

For this event I am using an heretic build based on a standard bulwark upgraded to max, a standard book of dragon upgraded to max too, an amity of +30%dragon, and chimera or phoenix (depends on the staff i was godforging), spamming multiflare, with ocasional viper to keep ward up. I am not having many troubles, i am going right now with gazing staff to godforge + red arisen tome + purple arisen tome, so I dont have an awesome mag stat. I have also tried an hybrid deity with beaststrikes or dragon element with realmstrikes, but with that one I havent meet any berserk so I am not sure if how it could penetrate the defense, but I was getting similar numbers to the heretic.",

{
"body": "Wait how does the dragon alignment work? Would I spam let's say magic strikes and it add dragon element, or does it just increase the power of dragon spells.",
"replies": [
{
"body": "Alignment gives inmunity to dragon element and +50%damage to dragon elements attacks, like multiflare, viperstrike or realmstrikes with a dragon weapon. Magic strikes is always physical, sorry. Bulwark armor gives aprox +20% damage to dragon too, and the amity another 30%. If we add passive, snotra, mag buffs and berserk, the damage skyrockets, and if you can stack DC and GM too you can one shot a normal ymir easily",

"body": "Thank you.. I actually have a legendary dragon book in my keep for dragon alignment, too low a level for snotra thing, and didn't know about the bulwark. I thought that was a warrior only gear, will look for one. I've got an extra damage on weakness amenity instead of bonus to dragon. Thank you. Halfway through the month and and I thinknive finally got a winning strategy. I've been going maji lately for greater meditation, but prefer mage dance because I do a lot party dungeons. I've been feeling like I'm letting my mates down running wildfire ii.\n\n I might be able to run mage dance and kill berserk ymir's 🤩."

},
{
"body": "FYI, deific channel or great meditation are both useless for this scenario. They do not increase your m1. It means that if you were doing zero damage to an enemy because their defense is too high, deific channel or great meditation will never make you do more than zero. They only increase m2, which is the multiplier. \n\nIf you’re having trouble penetrating enemy defense, you want to improve your m1. You only get more m1 with higher base magic or heretic/deity passives that make you more powerful with low health/mana.",

"body": "I actually did damage. 50k to 60k.\n\nThe problem is that he had 500K ward which he consistently regenerated 130k to 230K a pop every 3 or 4 turns.\n\nYou need at least 100K damage to brake that kind of regeneration.\n\nNormal one does not have that problem, 120K damage I can do easily and with 300K ward of his he doesn't pose any challenge.\n\nProblem is the berserk version.",

I keep my mana low and mainly use the omnimancy 2 spells, multi spark 3, and transference 3. I use ashen Phoenix with blackened eyes for pet act. I don’t remember exact numbers, but I got all berzerks pretty fast. Sequencer helps of course, but idk how much since I’m lazy and spamming single turn moves lol. Anyways, I just wanted to share what was working for me. Doom is a cool idea!"

I'ma turn off auto-dismantle and kill one of the Final Horsemen I have been sitting on.\n\nAnyway, I got a berserk Ymir the other day and managed to kill it by popping a berserk mushroom, Ashen Phoenix buffing me and just using transference III. It took a while though.",

"body": "I love that weapon. I got one Legendary way back and managed to upgrade it to demonforge. It is definitely not the best in Att. and Mag. but it is mostly enough. Both casters and melee can use it effectively, has 5 slots on demonforge, has excellent foresight which was good for true PvP when was active (I had full set of max foresight armor I could get and started every fight first which was basically victory, Scythe was important part of that set).\n\nThe curse and Doom are nice bonuses."
