Wedding Crashers is a main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 which finally releases you into the open world. In it, you’ll explore the region of Trosky looking for a way into the Semine wedding. This KCD2 walkthrough will show you how to get Henry up and on his feet and into the wedding where he hopes to meet von Bergow.
Here are all the major objectives you'll move through as you complete this quest:
Speak to Bara Explore Get a job How to Get a Perfect Start Attend the Wedding Pay Your Respects Interlude: Godwin's QuestSpeak to BaraBara is the first kind face you’ll see after leaving the pillory. She’ll call out to you immediately, inviting you to discuss what you’ll do next. Put on your clothes and speak to her.
advertisementShe mentions Tomcat early in your conversation with her. Take the bait and ask her about him to learn more. Apparently, he’s a daring swordsman who spends time humbling the guards, showing off, and saving sheep. She’ll tell you where to find him, too, which will set on on track for the first Combat Training quest.
If you ask her for help, she can tell you a bit about what you’ll find in town, where to get a horse, and will even give you five Groschen if you choose “I need to get some money.”
Question: What Did You Have in Mind?If you ask her where to buy clothes, you’ll have three options to indicate what you’re looking for. If you select the option associated with Might, you’ll gain some reputation with her. The other options will cause you to lose reputation. Whatever you choose, she’ll slip you your first Lockpick, which will come in handy if you’re up for some thievery.
ExploreWhen you’ve finished speaking to the good-natured Bara, it’s time to get exploring. This is the point where Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 opens up. You can do anything you want at this point and there’s no shortage of options.
Your first goal should be to get some money in your pocket and a bed to sleep in. You could do that by following the main quest to accept a job with either the Blacksmith or the Miller. However, their homes are at the far edges of the region you’ll be moving around in, meaning you’ll have quite a distance to travel to get to a bed you can safely sleep in.
How to Get the Perfect Start in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2When you're finally able to explore the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry is penniless, friendless, and destitute. Apart from the few choices you’ve made up to this point, he’s a blank slate. To get off to a perfect start follow this path to get yourself some money, equipment, a bed in Zhelejov, and your precious horse.
Note: The map above corresponds to the numbered steps below.1. First, head to the hill overlooking Troskowitz. Pick up the book you find there, The Art of Demosthenes II. Then, find the nest in the tree behind the bench. Crouch and throw a rock at the nest to knock it down. Loot it to find a pair of valuable Spectacles.
2. Head to the cemetery here to pick up this Spade. You’ll need it soon. You’ll have to steal it, so make sure the gravekeeper doesn’t notice you.
3. Travel back to town, clean yourself off in a water trough, and sell the Spectacles to the Trader.
4. Find the workshed at the southwest corner of town and pick up the Skalitz Axe you’ll find resting on a table. Then, take it to the Carpenter to sell it. You’ll find him at his home adjacent to the pillory. You should have at least 120 Groschen now.
5. Take the road southwest to find the fresh grave here. Use the Spade to dig it up. You’ll find a shield and can loot the body below it for some armor and a mace.
advertisement6. Travel west to Zhelejov. You will likely encounter bandits along the way. If you feel you can take them, go for it. The equipment you picked up at the grave will help. Otherwise, run right past them. Veer north to arrive at the Zhelejov Wagoneers’ Inn and purchase a permanent room there for 120 Groschen. Then, head to your new room, sit on the bed and study The Art of Demosthenes II. Make sure you gain the full 100% from it.
7. Lastly, head directly south to reach Semine. There, you’ll find Pebbles in the horse pasture. After you’ve found him, speak to the Horse Trader and choose “Be reasonable.” With the Speech skills you learned from the book, you should have enough to convince him to give you Pebbles for free.
Now you have some equipment, a horse, a place to sleep, and a good deal of the region explored. You can use the blue icons on the map to fast travel around this region. Whenever you need to sleep, simply click the one for the Wagoneer’s Inn and you’ll head directly there.
You can explore as you see fit, and you can take all the time you want to do it. There’s so much to do that you could spend several in-game weeks taking on the several side quests and activities in this region. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
Mutt: This quest sends you to the further reaches of the map to ask around about your dog. Along the way, you’ll meet several folks and go on some lucrative adventures. When you eventually find Mutt, you’ll gain a much-needed compatriot. Combat Training: Training with Tomcat is a great way to sharpen your combat skills and you’ll gain a few useful combos that’ll help you overcome the many bandits you’ll encounter. Lackey: This silly quest tasks you with helping a drunk Hunstman. It earns you plenty of Groschen and the huntsman and his son are both worthwhile skill trainers. Bad Blood: This quest has you help Bozhena and Pavlena. In the process, you’ll earn some reputation in Troskowitz. Empty the Rathaus Armory: If you sneak into the Troskowitz Rathaus, you can steal a huge variety of armor, weapons, skill books, and even potion recipes. However, you might need to spend some time leveling up your Stealth and Thievery skills to pull this off.Note: Pick one or two trades to specialize in, such as Alchemy, Hunting, or Thievery. Whenever you find yourself in need of money, ply your trades to scrounge up some Groschen. Get a jobWhen you’re ready to advance the main story, it’s time to take either the Miller or the Blacksmith up on their offer of a job. In the process, you’ll earn some reputation with them that’ll lead to an invitation to the wedding.
The Blacksmith RadovanRadovan lives in the north in the town of Tachov. He’ll teach you the Blacksmithing trade, which is a useful way to make money and craft your own gear. If you complete three side quests for him, he’ll invite you to the wedding:
The Blacksmith's Son in which you will forge your first weapon The Jaunt in which you’ll join Lord Semine in a hunt for a lost cart of supplies for the wedding. The Hermit in which you’ll track down a reclusive hermit in Apollonia. The Miller KreyzlKreyzel lives to the southwest at the Lower Semine Mill. He can teach you about Thievery and Stealth, and he’ll set you up to join the fights in Zhelejov. He also has a chest that relocks itself so you can practice lockpicking and increase your Thievery skill. If you complete three side quests for him, he’ll invite you to the wedding:
Materia Prima in which you’ll liberate a lost document from the Troskowitz guards. Forbidden Fruit in which you’ll acquire saltpetre to help Kreyzl pursue his unusual alchemy project. Opus Magnum in which you’ll find a willing lady to join in Kreyzl’s scheme to distract the Chamberlain at the wedding.Attend the WeddingWhen you finally close out the side quests for Krezyl or Radovan, they’ll bring you to the wedding, where you’ll be immediately greeted by Lord Semine. You’ll arrive before von Bergow, so you’ll have plenty of time to mix and mingle with the guests.
The wedding festivities take place over four phases that you advance by completing certain objectives. During each [hase, there are also several side objectives available to complete.
Phase One: Mingle Phase Two: Drive Off the Beggars Phase Three: Help the Moravians Phase Four: Find HansIf you’d like to engage in some Thievery while everyone is distracted, here are a few items you can pick up:
advertisement Recipe for Lullaby Potion in a chest with a Hard lock in the first room on the right up the stairs in the inner courtyard. 3 Weak Saviour’s Schnapps in one of the estate’s upstairs bedrooms locked in a chest with a Medium lock. Life in the Saddle I in the loft above the barn, up the stairs from the dice tournament.MingleIn the first phase, the party is just getting started. There are plenty of people to meet to establish your presence and set yourself up for the following phases of the wedding.
Swordfighting tournament: OldaHead to the barn at the other end of the courtyards and go into the room where they’re holding the sword fighting tournament. Speak to Gnarly near the arena and place a bet on the current fight. The merchant wins more often than not, but if he loses you can reload your save and try again.
Then, ask Gnarly about the tournament. He’ll inform you that your first opponent is the groom, Olda. You’ll find him sitting at a table in the outer courtyard. Challenge him to a duel and beat him to start the winning streak you’ll need to maintain to earn the prize at the end.
Doubravka is a lonely maiden sitting by the fire in the outer courtyard. Her mother calls out to you when you get close. When you speak to her, she’ll ask you to invite Doubravka to dance. The problem is, she’s not much of a dancer. If you spare her feelings with some smooth Speech skills, she’ll become romanceable in the next phase.
Keep Vostatek From Drinking Part 1You’ll notice Vostatek and his wife having a hushed argument in the inner courtyard. If you interject, and Vostatek recognizes you from the Lackey side quest, he’ll ask you to keep him from drinking. You’ll need to find him in every phase after this one and take the drink out of his hand.
Dice Tournament: Blacksmith RadovanFind Bailiff Thrush in the barn and speak to him about the dice tournament. He’ll let you know that a gold badge is up for grabs for the winner. To begin, challenge Blacksmith Radovan to a game. He’s by the gate speaking to friends. If you win, you’ll get his Tin Badge of Might.
Dice Tournament: Chamberlain UlrichFind the Chamberlain in the inner courtyard and challenge him to a game of dice. If you beat him, you'll earn his Tin Badge of Headstart.
When you’re ready to advance to the next phase, speak to Svatja in the outer courtyard. He and Vitek are laughing at the expense of Vuytek, who’s desperately trying to win the attention of Myshka. They’ll talk you into trying to outdo Vuytek.
She’ll be dismissive at first, but if you tell Vuytek “Why don’t we leave Myshka alone?” she’ll appreciate your modesty and invite you to speak privately. At the end of the conversation, accept her invitation to dance. You’ll gain reputation with her that’ll come in handy soon. When you tell Svatja how it went, you’ll advance to the next phase of the wedding.
Drive Off the BeggarsLord Semine is concerned that the beggars at his gate will offend von Bergow, and he’d be glad of any help in driving them off. Before you get started with that, though, complete these tasks.
Head to the sword-fighting ring to speak to Gnarly. Bet on Capon this time; he wins more often. Then, ask Gnarly about the next challenger, Svatja. Find Svatja in the inner courtyard and defeat him in a duel to maintain your winning streak
Keep Vostatek from Drinking Part 2advertisementWhile you’re at the ring, speak to Huntsman Vostatek and take the drink out of his hand.
If you successfully protected her feelings, Doubravka will boldly claim her attraction to you. If you accept, she’ll invite you up to the attic for some intimate time. The Time Well Spent buff is useful here, and luckily the ego-bruising Henry gets after doesn’t put a damper on it. Just remember to put your pants back on when you’re done.
Finish the Dice TournamentSpeak to Apothecary Emmerich in the inner courtyard to learn that he actually dropped his badge somewhere. Then, head back to Thrush and challenge him to a game. Once you beat him, you’ll learn that he actually lost his badge to none other than Innkeeper Betty. She’s in the inner courtyard and wants you to bet 200 Groschen for it. If you win, you’ll earn the Gold Wedding Badge!
Speak to Lord Semine to learn more about the beggars at the gate. Don’t recommend giving them money because you’ll lose reputation for presuming that he’s a pinch purse. Instead, tell him you’ll be happy to help with the beggars and the Moravians, too.
Then, speak to Gate Guard Thurm at the gate. He’ll tell you about a few ways to get some food for the beggars, but the best way is the food scraps. Head to the outer courtyard and speak to Myshka. If you successfully wooed her before, she’ll be willing to help. Send her over and sneak into the pantry while she distracts her mother. Take the Cooking Scraps from the sack on the left side of the room.
Bring those scraps over to Thurm and he’ll throw them out to the beggars before having a drink with you. With that, you’ll move on to the next phase of the wedding.
Help the MoraviansNext, you’ll need to handle the Moravians to make sure they don’t get into a brawl. But first, check off these few tasks:
Swordfighting Tournament: Lord SemineSpeak to Gnarly again to place another bet. This time it’s the tailor who wins more often. Then, ask Gnarly about your next opponent: Lord Semine himself. You’ll find him in the inner courtyard speaking to his son. Defeating him will earn you Lord Semine’s necklace. It isn’t worth much, but it has excellent Charisma.
Keep Vostatek from Drinking Part 3Find Vostatek by the keg near the dice tables and take the drink from his hand again.
Get Drinks for the MoraviansFind the Moravians in the inner courtyard, guzzling watered-down drinks. After a brief exchange with Jurko, he'll ask you to get some of the good stuff from the cellar.
To get in, just tell the guard that you'll cover for him. Once inside, you'll find a jug of Moravian Schnapps on a table. Take that to Jurko to advance to the next phase of the wedding.
Find HansThis phase will begin with either Chamberlain Ulrich or Blacksmith Radovan approaching you for help, depending on who brought you to the wedding. Either way, you’ll need to confront Hans for vital information. Before you go track him down, take care of the following tasks:
Tell Lord Semine about your success with the Moravians, mixed though it was. Tell him it’s better this way and you’ll come out even with his reputation.
advertisementKeep Vostatek from Drinking Part 4Find Huntsman Vostatek hiding out by the pond where you had your chat with Myshka. Take the drink from him one more time.
Find Hans in the loft above the dice tables. The conversation will change based on who sent you to him, but the outcome is similar:
If you came to the wedding with Miller Kreyzl Enneleyn will return the Chamberlain’s ring and tell you to inform him that she won’t be returning. Return to the Chamberlain to share the news. If you came to the wedding with Blacksmith Radovan Hans tells you Svatja stole the sword. You’ll find him leaning against the front of the barn. Ask him about the sword and then go recover it from the pond. Then, return it to Radovan. When you complete either of these tasks, the wedding will begin.
Pay Your RespectsVon Bergow is a no-show, so Henry resigns himself to leave. But first, it’s only polite to pay one’s respects to the bride and groom. Head back into the inner courtyard and speak to Hunstman Vostatek first. He’ll thank you for keeping him sober and invite you to visit him at his family’s cabin after the ceremony.
Then, head into the cellar where you’ll see the bride crying. After attempting to console her, you’ll be discovered by Vuytek. Hans helps you out and then you’re both drawn into a fistfight with the locals. Hold your own until the guards arrive to haul you both away.
Interlude: Godwin’s QuestAfter the wedding scene, the story moves to the point of view of Father Godwin. He’s hungover and exhausted after a bout of vigorous exercise when a pair of nobles come in to give him a mission: tracking down Henry.
However the conversation goes, Godwin will get the same begrudging endorsement from Radzig, so you can choose to be as cantankerous as obsequious as you like. When that's finished, you'll go back to Henry to continue the next quest: For Whom the Bell Tolls.
