"selftext": "Occasionally I'll see posts from people who have viewed the game's code, and they will explain detailed mechanics they found there. I'm looking for those same detailed mechanics for the production of gems at a castle.\n\nIn a game I'm playing, I have a castle that hasn't spawned a gem in about 20 weeks. Is this just bad RNG, or are there mechanics I'm missing? What I know for sure is that there is that they have a chance to spawn on Sunday. Some say it's a 10% chance. Which means there is only about a 12% chance that nothing would spawn for 20 weeks straight. Not ridiculously unlikely... but still not something I would expect. \n\nSome say you need to have level three cities which you own on the same continent... I don't see anything about that on the wiki, though.",

I can say that the odds are not \\*that\\* high, so 20 weeks might not even be an outlier, and most players rarely take the time to count how long it takes. I do know that you do not need to invest in the castle to get a gem, as the investment only raises the gem's value. I feel like you might have an increased chance at spawning castle gems if more towns are saved and invested in, but it hasn't been tested before. Castle gems are one of those mechanics that players like nerfed or house banned, so even the more advanced players don't interact with it that much.",

I was trying to prove a point... but with no gem production I'm not really proving anything haha. Either way, this won't be relevant to future playthroughs"
