"selftext": "Wiki has nothing, googling has nothing.. guess im too dumb to understand on my own and absolutley everyone else knows.\n\nIt states that \"Grants 10% MORE damage of types matching the SKILL gems tags\" ???????\n\nIm trying to use it with Winter Orb.. does it just mean it gets 10% more damage because it is cold skill gem? If it were something like.. Elemental Hit it would gain 30% MORE damage as it has all element tags?\n\nAlso take LESS damage types of matching skill.. so take 10% less cold damage? For longest time I thought it was all damage..\n\nSo at the end of the day this support gem grants me 34% more damage total while channelling?",

"body": "It means you get a buff that grants you \"10% more cold damage\". Channeling also grants an \"8% less cold damage taken from hits\" stat. Ele Hit, were it supported, should gain an infusion buff that grants 10% more fire, 10% more cold, 10% more lightning. It's not supportable, as it's not a channeling skill, but you could get something kind of similar if you're using Storm Burst, for instance.\n\n>So at the end of the day this support gem grants me 34% more damage total while channelling?\n\nNot quite. For cold damage purposes, you get 24% more damage off the support effect and 10% off the infusion for (1.24 * 1.10 = 1.364) or equivalent to a single 36.4% more cold stat.",

"body": "It's 10% more damage of: Fire, Cold, Lightning, Chaos, and/or Physical if the skill gem has a matching tag. In most cases, this means Infusion is just 10% more damage if you haven't specced out of the main element of your skill, but there are a couple channeling skills like Divine Ire that can get multiple multipliers because they have more than 1 of those tags.",

{
"body": "It's worded that way because the 10% more damage from the infusion buff apples to all damage of that type you deal, not just skills linked to infused channeling.\n\nSo for example, if you're using [[Death's Oath]] to deal chaos damage in an area around you, you could use blight (a channeling chaos skill) with infused channeling, and after channeling long enough to get the infusion buff your death aura would deal 10% more.",

"body": "You get the 10% to other skills\n\nOh, and it’s not 34%. It’s (your damage) multiplied by 24%, THEN Also multiplied by 10%. \nAnything saying More is multiplicative with each other. Anything that says Increased are all added together Then multiplied just like anything that says more. So like 20% increased elemental and 20% fire damage on a fire skill would be 1.4 total damage. But 20% more damage and 20% more other damage would mean 1.44. Sorta. Math is more complicated but yeah."
