However, they could improve on their customer service. On a few occasions, my takeout order has been incorrect and I've had to return to Yangs to get the order corrected. Not once have they discounted the food or given any sort of make-good to make up me having to double back to the restaurant. I don't expect a make-good every time there is an issue but a make-good every so often would show appreciation to loyal customer. Otherwise, it's amazing! This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Why? 4 time here since the change of ownership. I normally get chicken n broccoli. The broccoli is not over cooked and rubbery. A nice crunch. This time I got shrimp egg foo young. The best ever. The omelette was perfectly done. YANG I'll be back. A 10This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They cater to us continually—steaming our meal with sauce on the side. They’re consistent—meal always very hot, fresh. & delicious! Ordered chicken fried rice and got fried rice with four small pieces of boiled chicken strips placed on top of the serving. I ordered General Tso's chicken and the chicken part was warm and the broccoli was cold, like it had been added precooked. Really disappointed since this was once my favorite place for Chinese take out. This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I spent 20 minutes selecting a large order for a party and the online ordering kept crashing. I called back and was told they couldn't take a phone order. Apparently they don't know how to use a paper and pen. Don't go thereThis review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My Husband's favorite Friday food is Chinese and the closest Chinese to home is really really good or often really really average, so I went to Trip Advisor and found stellar reviews for Yang's. This place absolutely lives up to and delivers as per other reviews. Nice menu, very clean, great service, easy to miss unless you are from Lancaster, this place used to be an all night Diner (greasy spoon) that I used to frequent fairly often about 40 years ago. The food is much better now,LOL.
My Husband ordered the pork egg roll and his usual Pork Lo Mein, I ordered the Chef Special Tsad Liu Chicken and a spring roll. This restaurant is definitely Cantonese cuisine not spicy, but the food is very fresh, served hot, perfect vegetables perfect amount.
My Husband said it was the BEST pork lo Mein he has ever had and believe me this man has eaten a couple hundred pounds of lo Mein in his life, he also said it was one of the best egg rolls he has ever eaten. My dish was so fresh and delicious and had some things in it I had never seen or eaten before and I loved it, didn't ask the server until I had finished it what the dark purple vegetable was and was told it was a fungus. Well I a new fan of purple fungus because it was delicious, great dish and would definitely order again
All the other reviewers were spot on. We will DEFINITELY be returning to Yang's probably sooner rather than later. It has become our favorite "go to" when your hungry and don't want to spend a mini fortune for GREAT food.
The lunch menu is a must DO! Prices are the best along with the food and service!
It's amazing that they are able to stay open with such low prices and the amount of food you get.
I always see a to go box on every table at lunch.
Now dinner is a must do also.
Portions are twice the lunch size so you may want to think about sharing (which they do not mind) and they do not charge a share fee like some restaurants do.

We read good to great reviews here and on google and decided to give it a try. As I pulled the car into the near empty drive on Christmas night, my heart sank a bit as I sensed we were headed into an over rated greasy spoon with an avid local fandom that was not too food savy. And boy were my senses wrong! My wife and I with two teens in tow were treated to a friendly greeting and were guided to a linen set booth in a bit of a dated decor. Water glasses sparkled. silver was spotless, napkins wrapped around spoons and forks were placed before us as we were seated and given tea cups. Cold, crisp, clear fresh water with no aftertaste or obvious high mineral content was perfect for clearing the palate between samplings. We were brought tea and menus and were not offered any specials. Tea was weaker than i ususally like but in hindsight was perfect given the hour: we arrived at 8:30 PM. If we have learned anything about Lancaster PA after being transplanted here from Philly, it is that the sidewalks in Lancaster roll up early. 8:30 here is late. My wife and I ordered a bowl of wonton soup for she and I to share that came in a metal tourine with a large serving spoon. the waitress deftly placed four bowls on the table as the "bowl" of soup was more than adequate to serve the four of us as we sampled duck sauce on crispy noodles and read through our menus. The Soup featured heavier noodles around large chunks of pork in a nice if a bit salty chicken broth that was hot and garnished with green onions. The fourteen year old boy and 13 year old girl each ordered an egg roll and I had a spring roll. The egg rolls appeared to be handmade and not mass produced. Ditto the spring roll which was larger in size and less delicate inside than many that I have had. all were served piping hot and flavor was spot on. By the time soup and rolls were done we all realized we had found a gem of a spot. Our order was taken and all four dishes arrived together and hot within 15 minutes of ordering. The 14 year old Boy had A shrimp dish that was simply in shell spicy shrimp on top of a bed of lettuce and orange slices with a side of sticky white rice. the shrimp were perfection. His sister had Shrimp lo mein whose sauce featured a delicate smoke flavor we have found no where in our travels. I had singapore noodles which were as delicate as her Lo menin was fat and substantial. My singapore noodles came with shrimp, pork, egg, and veggies in delightful spicy curry sauce. My wife also had a shrimp dish which I believe was called Bauo san Ding which featured a marvelous brown garlic sauce and something she has never before enjoyed eating: chunks of water chestnuts in with delicate mushrooms and other veggies: she ate them up astounded at the skill used to make them to her liking. The shrimp and the sauce were the stars of her plate. Service was attentive without being overbearing.
We enjoyed a surprisingly great meal together after a long day of gifts and hosting other family. Four people had appetzer and soup and entre and our total bill was $55.06. Thank you Yang and company! we will return!Written December 25, 2018 This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
