Sure, some of the designs are loosely based on MCU designs, but thats because those designs are how the public views those characters. But Lego Marvel Avengers takes place in a separate continuity from the Lego Marvel Superheroes games."

"body": "I’m more of a Marvel guy but I, too, think the DC games are better.\n\nI don’t wanna sound like a conspiracy theorist but I would assume the corporate synergy between WB Interactive and DC Comics is probably a factor. I doubt they’re sabotaging their Marvel games but I’m sure things go a lot more smoothly when it’s all one company and not two competing companies trying to play nice.\n\nI also think the worst content in either DC or Marvel games is the stuff based on TV shows and movies. It’s especially a bummer if you aren’t familiar with the source material. I’ve never watched Young Justice or Agents of SHIELD. When I played LB3 I hadn’t watched Arrow. Even when you are familiar it’s like they’re either so faithful to the source material that they’re dull or they deviate too much to the point that they shouldn’t have bothered.\n\nWith the DC games those are, with the exception of Batman ‘66, DLC-only and extremely short. With LEGO Avengers it’s the whole game. Obviously that isn’t a problem in the other series, most of which are movie-based, but with the comic games I would rather play through something that might throw Devil Dinosaur at you rather than unlocking some boring character from Captain America: The Winter Soldier or whatever. So with the DC games you have maybe 10% of your playtime devoted to that shit vs line 40% of the Marvel games being movie- or tv-based.",

"body": "I think it’s just because comic book movies and tv shows have to dial the exact thing that plays well in these LEGO games back to make them more grounded and less-ridiculous. Really none of the other games have that, Star Wars and Indy aren’t adaptations and LOTR and Harry Potter are pretty faithful adaptations. But the comics games can be based on the comics or based on the movies based on the comics and I feel like the comic stuff translates to these games better and the comics also have 1000x the stuff to draw on compared to the movies.",

"body": "I grew up on DC comics, but have enjoyed Marvel movies and Marvel Lego video games much more than DC, with one exception: DC Villains. We've completed the following to 100%: Lego Marvel Superheroes 1, Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, Marvel Avengers, Lego Batman 2, Lego DC Villains. I'm currently working on Lego Batman 3. All the games are really good, with the exception of Batman 2 IMO (overrated), we just enjoyed the Marvel series much more.\n\nEdit: Accidental post before completion."

"body": "I like Lego Marvel and Lego Avengers a lot more than Lego Batman and Lego Batman 3, because I love the MCU and exploring New York is a lot more fun to me than exploring small planets, or an indoor area like the Batcave. Because I like the MCU, I really like Lego Avengers. I also prefer the story/levels of Lego Marvel to that of Lego Batman 3 (it’s more interesting to me).\n\nAt the same time, I like Lego DC Supervillains more than Lego Marvel. The DC world in that game is more fun to me, and I felt like the DC story was interesting and unique, while the Marvel story was a bit boring at parts. The voice acting also makes me prefer DC Supervillains to Lego Marvel 2.\n\nSo overall, If I could only play Lego Batman, Lego Batman 3, and Lego DC Supervillains or Lego Marvel, Lego Avengers, and Lego Marvel 2, I’d choose to play the Marvel games.\n\nNote that I don’t have Lego Batman 2. I’ve been holding back on getting it because I have the film. That didn’t bother me with the Lego Movie Videogame though, so maybe I should give it Lego Batman 2 a chance.",

But DC explored a Dark & Gritty Nature that I always loved that Marvel almost never had the studs to challenge, because of Disney.\n\n\nDC on the other hand has that ability, & is what makes DC the \"Big Boys\" of Marvel.\n\n\nSo, if I were forced to live with one for the rest of my life, even at Gunpoint, DC. But truly I'd be dead, because I love both equally. X3"
