    "selftext": "Games such as Telltale's GotG, Deadpool, the old Spiderman games, even MUA. Sooo many games got removed. I was wondering if there was any chance that they would come back anytime soon? Or are they pretty much definitely never gonna come back.",

      "body": "They won’t ever come back. Those games that get pulled get pulled due to licensing issues. They have made their profit and it’s not worth the additional cost. Best chance is to find a unused key on a key site or eBay.",

          "body": "Well that's a shame. I figured since they were Marvel games, they'd overall be owned by Disney. And they supposedly \"vault\" their games and movies or something for a few years, then re-sell them. So I was hoping there'd be a chance that would be the case. Ah well.",

              "body": "The IP is owned by Disney but the games engines/assets aren't. Disney can't continue to distribute those games anymore than the developer/publisher can.\n\nContrast that with the Lion King/Aladdin games that were recently removed from sale (likely due to the upcoming films). These could potentially return as Disney are both the IP owner and the publisher."

              "body": "It’s possible they will. But I wouldn’t count on it. We saw the same thing with the LEGO Lord of the Ring games. Licenses expired. Games pulled. If you can try and find keys. I’m sure some are still floating around."

      "body": "Some of those games were licensed by Activision and, as far as i know, they don't have the license anymore. So no, they won't return to steam unless the current copyright holder decides to put them there."
