"selftext": "So, this all started after I did a factory reset on my laptop (Windows 11) to get some space for storage and to refresh my pc. After that, I decided to re-install Roblox, but then after I get the installer and installed Roblox, it just simply does not launch. I have tried every possible solution on the internet, YouTube and even here on reddit but none seems to work. ***I have done clearing cache, App Datas, browser cookies, firewalls and the overriding apps, I even did another factory reset, I did the file stuff and so much more but none of it worked. (Roblox support is not really helping me too)*** \n\n\n**I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, AS IN EVERYTHING!** It's been 2 days that I have been trying to fix this issue and I don't know what else to do. I have tried to even use the Microsoft Store version of Roblox, but it just shows me a white screen with Roblox's logo and closes after a few seconds (it basically crashes all the time). I have tried different browsers, at least watched like 20+ YouTube tutorials to find a solution but nothing worked. ***Please, I need help! If you have anything to ask from me to help my situation, gladly comment/reply and I will answer.*** \n\n\nI went and checked the Roblox file, and I am sure that I have each file that I need (I checked my brother's because his Roblox is working fine on his windows 10 laptop). I even downgraded my laptop to windows 10 using a YouTube tutorial but it still did not work. \n\n\nNOTE: THERE IS NO ERROR POPPING UP, IT JUST DOES NOT LAUNCH! \n\n\n​",

"body": "Dude, this is THE ONLY REAL solution that works for me. Can't believe you nailed it. Doesn't make sense to most people, but as a programmer, I believe one of the Roblox devs has a terrible idea of ensuring the file can only be launched in the future for beta tester. Thanks a ton!"

"body": "I just found a fix - it seems that the automatic Windows time is a few seconds out of sync with the actual time. Just go to time.is and manually adjust your Windows clock according to that time (try to be as precise as possible). The next day fix also works, but this one should be a permanent fix.",

"body": "hey so i had the exact same problem as you, but i think i found a fix for it or at least it worked for me.\n\nSo basically what i did was, i downloaded roblox on an external hard drive and made sure it launched normally then i copyed that roblox launcher player on to my downloads file on my laptop then i removed the hard drive form the laptop launched it and it worked like normal.\n\nhope this works for you guys.",

"body": "I had this same problem. Idk if your using Opera GX or not, but I installed roblox through that browser and I wasnt able to open it or anything. I instead installed through the browser that came with my computer (Microsoft Edge) and it worked perfectly fine after that. So it might just be a browser problem."

"body": "Make a new windows account, with a new email and everything, and log out of the old one. Worked for me. My PC was brand new but I used my old outlook email to sign in so that must’ve done something to trigger it not working. For the new account I did not put it as an admin, just normal access."

"body": "hi! i also had this problem after wiping my laptop and it was so frustrating cause i prefer playing on pc instead of mobile,, but i found a way to fix this by using a different browser! i was using chrome at first but then i downloaded opera to try launching roblox and it worked without issues, also after launching it from opera i could launch it smoothly from chrome after and it would launch the roblox player by itself too! hopet his helps \\^\\_\\^"

"body": "LO HE SOLUCIONADO!!! \nLuego de casi 2 días buscado solución, leyendo preguntado a ia etc... \nProbé a crear otro usuario de windows 10 que me funcionó , pero claro yo tengo cosas importantes como mods y cosas de los sims que no queria tener que usar cambiado de cuenta, probe a limpiar todo lo relacionado con robox, probé todos los navegadores , actualizar drivers , cambiar la hora, TODO ES TODO \n \nLiteralmente la solución la encontré por mirar la ruta de error que marcaba el visor de eventos, el dll de roblox me fallaba, entonces probe a descargar uno externo y no funcionó, pero me acorde que el roblox en mi otra sesion si funciona, asi que explore los archivos de el otro usuario desde mi sesion donde no va el roblox hasta la ruta del dll, copie el dll y lo pegué a mi roblox PUM MAGIA, FUNCIONOOO!\n\nSi no te funciona prueba a reinstalar roblox y que te salte el error al iniciarlo en tu visor de eventos, en ese momento prueba mi solución\n\nESPERO QUE PUEDA SERVIR A MUCHA GENTE, UN SALUDO \nMarchis desde españa!",

"body": "I had this same issue for a very long time (months, even) until today (23/08/2024) when I accidently resolved the problem:\n\nHere's what I did:\n\n1. I went to the folder with the \"RobloxPlayerBeta.dll\" file\n2. Deleted the dll file\n3. Executed the Installer inside the same folder\n4. dll file gets replaced\n5. Boom, now it works.\n\nI also tried to replace the .dll file with the same file found online, but it didn't work so I deleted it, I don't know if that step is required, but I guess it could be optional? (Before Step 2)\n\nI hope this works.",

"body": "I know what the fix is. Extremely strict anti cheat- wallpaper engine, translucent taskbar, literally anything running in the background, force stop it. The anti cheat stops the game from booting if it detects anything I've had this issue for so long and this fixed it for me."

"body": "One more solution could be you installed a program which monitors your clockspeeds or hardware such as RTSS which comes with MSI Afterburner and set that setting to Start with windows. To fix it, dont start it when wanting to play Roblox."

Why do seemingly random things work but actual attempted solutions do nothing? In what world would the date matter when running a program?"

"body": "Ik it’s been a nearly a year. But I know where you went wrong.\nYou shouldn’t reinstall windows 11 locally. You should have done it via the cloud/USB drive. Not entirely sure why, but I’m guessing it’s cause resetting the computer locally (straight from your computer) doesn’t install a “fresh” copy of windows, which causes some issues with Roblox.\n\nI had this exact problem, because I did it locally, but after factory resetting again via the cloud, Roblox was opening normally without having to change the date\n\nEDIT: no this does not work. It stopped working again\n\nEDIT 2: ok, so I found an actual solution. I read that you should change the date to a day ahead to get Roblox to work. But if you want to keep your current date and play Roblox. Set the date a day before, go to settings, find the reset your pc. And click, repair your pc with an update, which will reinstall windows 11 while keeping all your files. Once that’s been completed, you can set your date back, to what it was before, and you can finally enjoy playing Roblox again. \n\nI restarted my computer etc to see if Roblox would stop working but it hasn’t so far. Hope this helps"

"body": "Hey, i might be too late but I might know how to fix this issue, firstly you have to make sure u have downloaded microsoft visual c++ and direct x, if they are downloaded, then check if ur pc has any updates, after updating check if .NET 3.5 is enabled or not to check it just press win+S and search turn windows features on or off and if the box is unchecked, just check if and let windows download it files, after all of this is done, restart your pc once and it should be fixed, let me know if you face any other issues!",

I sent a message to Roblox and they were able to fix my Cyberpower computer, but I still can't log in on my other desktop. I have sent Roblox several messages that I still can't log in and they still haven't fixed it. Maybe you should also send them a message. "body": "I fixed it by doing this\n\ngo to where you have roblox installed, for me this is where i had to go. C:\\\\Program Files (x86)\\\\Roblox\\\\Versions\\\\version-37cf60402a5648b4\n\nThen simply locate RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe and double click it, it should say installing. Then afterwards it should work 👍"
