"body": "Apart from all the things already mentioned in this and many more threads (19 new ascendancies, campaign, weapon bases, gem system etc.) I just feel that many underestimate the importance of new characters rigs and what it means to the overall gameplay and its feeling.\n\nIt was already said by one of devs that the current characters rigs not only limit GGG in terms of adding new assets like armour skins (3D models for existing unique items for example) but also its nearly impossible to add new skill gems that FEELS and PLAYS good/enjoyable for a player. \n\nFor example, if you look at most strike skills, they have nearly same animation: the only difference between Infernal Blow and Glacial Hammer is that one has little fire glow at the end of a strike, and the other has frost one. \n\nNew rigs make it possible for GGG to realease new skill gems (and upgrade old ones if they wanna so) with unique casting/attack animations which is huge in terms of game being fun and enjoyable for most of casual players. \n\nAlso, new gem system, which allow you to have multiple 6links is something that could have massive impact on how the game will be played. \n\nAt the top of it, we still dont know many things we could find out during incoming Exilecon - I got a feeling that the hidden UI from the Summer Game Fest teaser is not a coincidance and we will find out more about this and many more things later this year."

The next one is on the new 7-act campaign and it hits on Saturday.\n\nIf you'd like to watch some gameplay/listen to what's coming in a recent recap, here's the full playlist: [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5BdkTDyb6SdoPHb9fS-2Gh5K05R1sg6I](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5BdkTDyb6SdoPHb9fS-2Gh5K05R1sg6I)\n\nIf you would rather read it, Lighty just shared an awesome resource that breaks it down quickly: [https://poedb.tw/us/poe2](https://poedb.tw/us/poe2)\n\nTala moana!"

"body": "The very quick summary is that not everything has been announced, but the most important things are:\n\n- The overhauled animations system and character models which will open for a lot more fluid skills\n\n- The updated skill system\n\n- The new campaign\n\n- 19 new ascendancies\n\n- Updating the 3d models of all old items\n\n- General graphical overhaul\n\n- New weapon types (so far we've seen spears/javelins and siege/artillery crossbows)\n\n- Shapeshifting is also a thing I guess"
