"selftext": "I've barely played DH this past week since the dev note about character levels and gear levels being reset as a new season starts. I was under the impression a new season was starting so was looking out for the reset, but nothing so far. I thought \"Lament in the snowland\" was a count down to a new season and so a reset, but everything still looks normal so obviously I was mistaken?",

You're taking away resources and characters I paid for(not much. I like the game so I threw a few bucks to the devs) and giving me nothing in return? That's the textbook definition of theft in my book.",

"body": "It's still a heavy blow.\n\nIt's one thing in a season-based game where you don't spend money on the season itself. take a look at games like Path of Exile or Diablo 3. They have seasons, but all the rewards like cosmetics, stash size, etc. carry over. \n\nEvery dime I spend on PoE nets me resources that carry over to the next season. but here in a gacha game that utilizes energy (that you can pay to get more of) and auto-battles that can cost money as well, results in a net loss of any progress you made based on that. \n\nThey want to cross over a few different genre's, and the price they pay is greater complexity in balancing all these systems out. I don't mind seasonal resets, but this game is currently poorly designed to have those seasons. I mean, even Diablo 4 right now is taking heat for their season design, and you don't lose a thing in that game that you paid for when the season resets. seasons introduce allot of design challenges, and so far this game hasn't really balanced them to my satisfaction yet."
