"selftext": "Pros:\n\n-lots of story and lore, exploration and npc interactions are fun\n\n-lots of content\n\n-d&d elements\n\n-challanging progression that requires strategy (bosses require spcific stats to beat, timings of skills, placements etc you cant pay2win progression as there are no progressio packs and you cant just slap random high rarity units to win)\n\n-no ad pop ups\n\n-rare units are good\n\n-Art and design challange raid\n\n-dungeons drops are generous, fast progression\n\n-gear grind is short cuz no substats and mainstat is bad, flat stats are massive and compete with % stats\n\n-free battle pass is good, free rare hero selector\n\nCons:\n\n- no preregister rewards (rewards advartised as preregister rewards are actually story clear rewards that take a while to acquire)\n\n- low amount of free summons at the start\n\n-exploration and account level is time gated behind daily commissions, you play for a hew hours then the game says come back tomorrow you need to be x level to unlock next chapter of the story and map\n\n-expensive cash shop, 5$ par summon\n\n-promo codes are limited\n\nQuestionable: Seasonal reset after every 3 months with rewards based on your seasonal accomplishments.\n\nBasically new story starts every seasonal reset and you get to explore the map all over again starting from level 1.\nYou get to keep your units, currencies, artifacts etc going into a new season, your next progression from lv 1 will be different every season due to newly acquired units.",

Of course, saying \"it's so bad you won't notice anyway\" is not a great selling point.\n\nIf it's like other games with seasonal resets, they would be doing it because the game would change - e.g., imagine if there is a new skill mechanic affecting characters or a different player ability, then you might want to use a completely different party anyway.\n\nTo enjoy this game you would need to really enjoy the \"exploration\" and story elements, which you would get to do again with a fresh party after the reset. I don't think those elements shine enough to compensate for the empty progression personally, but some might enjoy that."

Thus resetting every 3 months is the most stupid idea ever - especially since it is a forced restart for everyone.\n\n \nIt feels like reading 60% of a book, and then someone forcing you to restart reading it from 1st page.\n\nBecause there is little chance to fully finish the story before the reset, especially as life can get in the way and you can't always play daily. I lost a couple days when I first started playing it, and as the reset cap approached fast I realized I had no chance of finishing the story - so yeah. The most idiotic design ever for a game involving a universe with such a rich story-telling potential."

It's why D3 had seasons, and there was literally no economy in that game.\n\nEdit: didn't realize how old this thread was, sorry to respond to something from last month."

Most games like this I'd be rolling with all epics/legendaries by now but I have quite a few useful rares.\n\nI really like the combat system and how strategic it is. \n\nI feel like so many gamers today only care about progression and not how you get there... I can't decide if a season reset is a terrible thing or a cool thing. I pulled a new genshin character I can't use because it's much weaker than my full team. Wotv introduced a new max level that comes with its own bottlenecks and limited currencies. Maybe a season reset could be a fun way to play a story that's always challenging me, instead of just throwing space Ishtar at a problem until it stops moving.",
