Best Gaming Monitor for Competitive Gamer

Hello,

I am a semi-professional competitive gamer in Counter-Strike 2. I am thinking of upgrading my current Acer XV252QF for better/newer technology monitor. During game my FPS goes all the way from 700 down to 330 in high demanding situations. I am a sniper in-game, so I very often stay positioned and have to react as soon as possible. I will eventually upgrade my i9-12900K and RTX 3060 for better in Q1 2025 when 15th generation Intel comes out, but for now new monitor is my goal. I am impatient, so I wouldn't like to wait for 480 Hz OLED. I have heard G-Sync isn't best for CS2, so I do not plan to use it, unless I'm somehow convinced. I am currently thinking of:
- 540 Hz PG248QP TN Panel,
- 360 Hz FO27Q3 QD-OLED Panel,
- 240 Hz AG276QZD W-OLED Panel.

I have made the post to get opinion from experts on what I should pick up.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
KWR.

If you're looking for 480Hz OLED, there's 4K 240Hz displays that can be switched to 1080p 480Hz. There's the LG 32GS95UE and the Asus PG32UCDP.

Thank you for your answer. These are unfortunately too big for me, not to mention the price, which in Poland sits at 1500$. I wanted to get something up to 1100$.

Yeah, 4K OLED monitors are more expensive. For cheaper (and smaller) 27" 1440p 480Hz, there's the Asus PG27AQDP OLED. No idea how good the monitor is, just read up on reviews for it.

OLED is blurry compared to a backlightstrobed tn panel. Sure OLED looks very submerging and takes you to a other place. But what use is submersion if your vision is a bit blurry when u track a enemy? You have to ask yourself what in videogames is getting you a rush; submersion in the game itself or submersion in the dopamine of getting a frag and winning the game? If it's the latter get the pg248qp or even better the xl2586x. The xl2586x is insane. Makes you feel like a bloodhound that sniffs out Everything.

Would XL2586X or PG248QP be relevant if I sometimes have drops down to 300 FPS?

All games I play are below 540fps. Pubg, Apex legends and Quake Live; they all feel very snappy and both ULMB2 and DYAC2 look amazing. (DYAC2 even better cause its fullscreen not just the middle) It's kinda a myth that u NEED to get 540fps ingame to benefit from backlightstrobing and the 540hz.

The Backlightstrobing in combination with the 540hz/500hz still kicks like a mule even if the game runs at 250fps (Quake Live), 300fps (Apex Legends) or a range between 300fps and 550fps (Pubg) (I run the monitor at 500hz so I can use the 1728x1080 res in Pubg and Apex.)
