"body": "Ya. Region lock is something that's long gone.\n\nBe careful and check first. I bought Sekiro here and played it all in Japanese which was the only language.\n\nBut then, the Elden Ring copy I have from here supported English too.\n\nIt's best to check on the PSN store and there will be a section on the product page that lists all the languages that the game supports. I always check first. I translate Japanese to English as a job so playing is no issue. But I usually prefer playing in my native language xD.\n\nThe game product page may say something like:\n\n音声:\n\n英語\n\nスクリーン言語:\n\n日本語\n\nWhich is good.",

"body": "The “for sale In Japan only” is more of a legal requirement than anything else, and you’ll find it on many products sold here (not just video games). It simply means that your rights as a consumer only go so far as you live in Japan. You cannot take the game outside of the country then complain to support that it didn’t work outside of the country. \n\nFortunately we are in the days when actual region locks are long gone and you are able to play your Japanese copy of the game on any region PlayStation in any region. The “for japan only” also does not have any significance on the language, but many japan releases only include the Japanese language options, with English if you’re lucky.",

If you want English language versions of games on disc you can order them from [PlayAsia](https://www.play-asia.com) or if you have a US address you can create a US PS Store account and buy digital versions of games to download directly to your PS5. You can't pay the US PS Store by credit card or PayPal from overseas, though, so you'll have to buy US PSN cards from PlayAsia to add credits to your account to buy digital games for download.",

I started buying them from PlayAsia from that point. I don’t know when Amazon resumed selling them because I never checked back after that. I bought a lot of English version games on disc from PlayAsia before I started doing digital downloads, so I already had an account with them when Amazon stopped selling digital PSN cards and I’ve always been satisfied with PlayAsia’s service.",
