      "body": "For those who don't know, the average Russian makes 450$ a month, and this doesn't really work well in Russia, because wealth is distributed very unequally even in the same wealth classes. One will be making 600 and another 300. This is why the Russians get cheaper packs. Why would you abuse something meant to help those in a pretty bad spot, I am actually happy GGG realized how bad things are in russia, and was willing to cut them a break. ",

Average Russian spends more money for cloth because temperature difference is higher, he spends more money on moving from home to work because distance to travel is bigger and engine eats more fuel when it's cold outside, he spends more money for quality medicine because everyone has to pay for insurance which is low quality and then you pay again for every visit to doctor in non-state medical organization which can provide quality examination and a lot more stuff like that.  Obviously we get to save on some stuff like education and cheap software and internet, but overall we have to spend bigger % of our salary.",

You sometimes dependand on the region might get probably-40 but from what I heard it is more friendly than our winter becouse of humidity. Distances are bigger in Russia but you have a lot cheaper fuel and gas do again seems like a strange argument. I paid for private visit to doctor 60$ becouse I didnt want to wait 10 months for a visit. I don't want to argue which country has it worse and by what degree but your arguments seems to be a miss."

It's a new thing they are trying out, if it works and isn't abused I can see them quickly implementing the same system for other locations over time. Any time you want to implement a new system (especially when money is involved) you test it on a small sample first."

In the US we've finally figured out Russia isn't necessarily our friend (I remember seeing some hilarious poll years ago were most Americans after the cold war thought Russia was our friends and most Russians thought America was their enemy). So, we're busy witch hunting them and what not.\n\nWhat is really going on is just trying to make the packs attractive to buy in respective regions. I'd be careful though, in the past I've seen some really absurd pricing on Steam games and such, and it does become annoying when one region pays significantly more. "

          "body": "Actually, not only GGG, but many companies do (Blizzard is a great example) put their stuff for lower prices than the actual conversion for regions with 1$ lower than 1US$. BUT, this prices only apply if you have a credit card FROM that specific region. Otherwise you have to pay the full value in US$ OR your local currency."

      "body": "What method though?\n\nI live in South America and I checked some of the methods Xsolla offers that are usually cheaper than credit card/paypal and they were actually more expensive than using my credit card directly on poe's website. Meaning it's somehow more expensive for me despite not having to pay international transaction fees or currency conversion fees.\n\nIt's usually about a dollar or less in fees every time but I still prefer going through Steam because adding funds to my wallet is done in local currency and when I purchase things in game, it only charges what the dollar is worth that day. No fees, no bs on my end... I do wonder if ggg gets a fair share or if Valve keeps an absurd amount."
