If you asked my mother whether an orb of transmutation was an orb or not, you'd get a 'no.' PoE has taken these words and infused them with new meaning, or in other cases a more specific meaning. Another example: more/increased. \n\n2. The words may be simple, but the language isn't particularly easy. The phrasing can be long-winded, confusing, and very detail-oriented. One example of the latter is the critical difference between immune and unaffected. There are plenty others. Native speakers often report confusion about the meaning of passives like those regarding to leech.\n\nAnd let's be honest, the words are not simple. I'm not knowledgeable about the average English ability of Polish people, but I imagine there's a large group of them who aren't at the level of playing Poe in English."

I understand there is difference between translation and localization, but ffs I can't understand why they translated Gladiator as Dimachaerus. Demanding a full translation from developers just because someone is too lazy to learn one other language is not \"seeking justice\". \n \nI don't care about downvotes. That's why you translate the game, to bring more people to the pool.\n- Language in the game is not simple at all, and that is the main reason why people are confused most of the time. Be it about lore or mechanics. Game lore is really deep and someone who struggles with English will never understand nuances of it. \n- It's understandable you will struggle with translation of simple words like orb, more or increased if you hold no uni degrees in both Polish and English. You understand what it means and you don't need to translate it to sound good in your own language for yourself. It's just natural to use this terms in English even when speaking with fellow Poles. That's why if it will ever happen GGG will ask people to apply provided they hold degrees in the topic and have previous experience with translation. It's literally a job for a reason. \n- Path of Exile is not obliged to teach you a language. It has to be profitable and if translation will bring 2000 more hard core players from Poland it will be worth it. \n\n\nSomeone else have also mentioned that some things in the the game cannot be translated literally. Być może to słowo wydawało mi się niewłaściwe w kontekście \"przygotowany na koniec świata; tacy jak on zawsze przeżywają\" albo brzmiało dziwnie, bo jest zapożyczone z angielskiego i \"zgrzytało mi\" użycie go we Wraeclaście. With more and more people worldwide learning english and games becomming more and more complex to develop I think its resonable to focus on high quality content for fewer language's. Thats said it might be possible to add sub for more language's while focusing on english dub",

Gaming also has a good acceptance in the younger generations. Especially if you consider that many germans actually prefer german while speaking english ( no proof, just my experience as a german student) you will find that nearly all important games have german dub ( if they have other dubs at all).\n\n In comparision: hindi (425 million) has a small percentage that cant speak english or does not like it, can afford gaming and has the possibility's to play. I also assume that more of the \"better\" living indiams speak english because of the history"
