"selftext": "Hi there, I was wondering what the language options are going to be for PoE2, as currently I'm not able to use Chinese in the international client for PoE1. There are Chinese translations of the game obviously, but the traditional Chinese version requires logging in through Garena and simplified Chinese is only available through the tencent launcher. Will PoE2 have language options for the Chinese diaspora like other languages get?",

What I could see happening is that you could play the chinese version on international servers. That would (kinda) solve your issue without breaking demands of Tencent/China to let Chinese players only play in their own client/ecosystem"

"body": "For POE's original factory, I propose a strategy that could gain recognition from the majority of overseas Chinese players and be beneficial to them. Immigration should be based on the following plan:\n\nIntroduce a Simplified Chinese version of Steam for Hong Kong and Macau (this indeed is a necessary act of goodwill to prevent their robot squads from significantly advancing to the international board).\n\nAllow Taiwanese nationals and non-Chinese citizens to immigrate to the Traditional Chinese version of Steam's \"International Board,\" rather than the Traditional Chinese version tailored specifically for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.\n\nRecent news about Traditional Chinese Steam may mislead many Chinese players overseas, leading them to believe that the International Board of Steam has finally been made available in Traditional Chinese, thus allowing migration to the Steam board, which is a misconception.\n\nIt is recommended that POE2 substantially opens up the Traditional Chinese version of Steam's \"International Board,\" instead of reintroducing the Traditional Chinese version tailored specifically for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.\n\nWhat overseas Chinese players need isn't just Traditional Chinese Steam. Yet, the original factory still uses the Traditional Chinese version tailored specifically for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, which only caters to a niche market. In reality, 87% of overseas Chinese players need the Traditional Chinese version of Steam's \"International Board\"! Creating a Traditional Chinese version tailored specifically for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau is merely superfluous, akin to dressing up a dog as a sheep!"
