"body": "I've got three main builds I use primarily on Dread difficulty. \n\n\nSupply runner: Backpacking and Resourcefulness are the two main specializations. Fighting and Shooting are dealers choice. When maxed, this gets the character a load of stamina and 4 pockets in total, great for gathering items. Normally carries painkillers and a primary and sidearm that use the same caliber\n\nNinja/Scout: Marathon and Stealth are the two main. Close Combat or Swordplay and Sharpshooting are preferred, but not mandatory. Aim for light weapons (such as a WWI bayonet or High-End Escrima Stick) and usually a PPK and Prepper's 10/22 Carbine\n\nStrike-team: Powerhouse, Discipline, Swordplay/Striking and Gunslinging. Deck them out with the best weapon, a suppressed sidearm (I'm partial to the 1911) and a medium weight primary with a brake. Always carry Painkillers, a stamina item (snacks, stimulants or zedrenaline), a stack of ammo for each firearm, a stack of C4 and at least 1 plague cure"

"body": "This is going to mostly be a matter of playstyle.\n\nWhat my playstyle has taught me is that overall utility of individual skills beats out combos. This is because:\n\n* You can't change characters just whenever. It takes time.\n* You're continuously pressed for time. You always have something to do through at least ~day 15-ish. Missions, scavenging, heart kills, whatever.\n* You don't know what you'll be doing 5 minutes from now. Leaving the base to kill a heart? Too bad, an enclave is being eaten feet first by a feral. Got that feral and want to switch from an action to a stealth character for scavenging? Too bad, someone decided to listen to AC/DC on a boombox and zombies are at the base again. Etc, etc.",

"body": "I cracked up at the ac/dc comment xD. Npcs are quite... special.\n\nQuestion. If I use a survivor from a play through, can you use them in another one? E.g. I love my sheriff, panda, she is in a new run... but would love to use her in a higher difficulty also.",

"body": "> Npcs are quite... special.\n\nYeah. This was sort of a reference back to the early days before their actions were based on morale. They would radio the active character several times a day with things like \"Oopsie doodle. Spilled coffee on the cinder blocks. Better throw them out.\"",

"body": "To answer your question, yes, you can use your surviors from other playthroughs in a new game. You have to complete your legacy, then all of the community members you had will go into a legacy pool. With that being said, you can have up to 50 characters in your legacy pool. After completing your playthrough, select new game and then choose to skip the tutorial, you can then choose 3 random characters or 3 characters from your legacy pool.",

{
"body": "No. A character can only be active in one community at a time."
},
{
"body": "Unfortunately, no, they can only be used in 1 community at a time. The good news is, you can start a new community with your characters already maxed out, so it's not too bad imo."
