    "title": "Character building routine?",
    "selftext": "So I was just wondering if there’s a more optional “schedule” of sorts for building a character? What I do rn, for example, is essentially build two characters at once, spending one week on boss mats and levelling up, one week on weapon/talent mats and one week each on artifacts before giving them the best that I’ve got at that time. This has helped me get a lot of characters up to a decent point, but I’ve noticed that my investment still doesn’t really seem that high in certain characters and I still can’t 36* the abyss. Any tips on what order to do things/how long to spend on each resource so that I have enough Mora/exp books/artifacts fodder etc? Hope this makes sense lol",

(2 days XP books, 2 days Mora, 3 days artifacts).\n\nWeekly bosses on artifact / weapon mat. days",

I also watch abyss clears by other people so i can see efficient grouping strategies. since i'm on mobile i definitely understand i have great skill issue, so learning proper rotation and actually practicing and implementing it inside the abyss allowed the leap from just barely completing 12-3 to getting 34* to 36*. lastly here's a great content creator with great gameplay skill https://youtu.be/Ka-AguR7b4U to reference. people might argue that the charcters on his account have great artifacts, but i know for certain he has done abyss clears with some characters not wearing artifacts."

First, I just collect all of the ascention materials, then weapon ascention mats and then I grind for the artifacts and the talent books for the rest of the month because those take the longest.\n\nAfter getting the character, I immediatly lvl 90/80 them, update all their talents, and then farm the artifact domain for a straight month before i build another character\n\nbut the way i do it is probably not what you are looking for but you can give it a try it if interested you!"

      "body": "A week's worth of artifacts may not give you the best results for your character.\n\nI've built 28 characters so far and here's how I do it.\n\n1. Farm artifacts till I get enough offensive stats like ATK/DEF, ER, EM and maintain crit ratio. If you dont have a lot of crit substats then make sure you have enough atk to compensate for it. Most of my characters have shit-ton of atk and crit ratios like 40:80 or 50:100 or 60:120.\n2. After giving them the artifact sets that can be usable with the specific character I jump to maxing out the weapon, then character level, then talents.\n\nFor me it takes a month's worth of time to build characters like this. I farm daily artifact fodder so I keep upgrading artifacts from time to time and equip those(if they're good) on characters I haven't built yet.\n\nMy building priority is based on synergy with other characters and support capability. Number of constellations and sometimes weekly boss material availability.\n\n\n\nI posted my routine a few days back on r/Genshin_Impact when I reached AR60 so you can check that out if interested.\n\nhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/vj5ufh/im_reaching_ar60_tomorrow_my_journey_so_far_and/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share",

Itto/Noelle/Kokomi/qiqi for husk domain. Ayato/ayaka/Childe/ganyu for blizzard domain. Variety of burst focus character such as the national team and Raiden for the emblem domain and so on. Particularly the last one is very universal as so main character can use it"

      "body": "As for me, since I already have my DPSs and can play comfortably, I'm not in a rush, I make time to list all chara I want to build, and ranked them. \n\nGenerally I want to Level them up first (world Bosses), and then level up talent (books, and maybe some enemies), and then level up their weapons. And the last thing is prep for their Artifact. \n\nBUT I won't start to farm artifact, until I finish the other step first, for every chara I want to build. Because I want my trip to the domain to give me something I will 100% use. \n\nEach time I prioritize 4 or 5 chara at once. \nThat way, everyday I have something to farm. \n\nAfter I'm done with all of that, I can plan my Artifact farm routine, and I don't have to go back farm some books or Weapon material. I would do something similar to you. Maybe 2 weeks of Cryo and Hydro Domain (since I have Ganyu and Childe), or maybe 2 more weeks for Pale flame + millelith (for razor and Zhongli). Generally it takes 3 to 4weeks to get an okay set, I farm VV for more than a month when I got Venti, and now he's a good unit for my level, I can finally farm for other characters."
