And it stacks, so a full party of 5 gives +250 Carry Weight.\n\nAlso, they're fairly decent earlygame workers for your base too - they're capable of Handiwork, Gathering and Transporting (also Mining, but they're really bad at it) - this usually means that Cattivas will be the ones doing your earlygame crafting and farming.\n\nAs a bonus: If you're crafting something, you can throw a Pal who's capable of Handiwork (like Cattiva) at the crafting station to craft faster. It can even be a Pal *from your party,* just summon the Pal at the crafting station and he'll do the work even if he's not part of your main base."

{
"body": "Best mining is to catch a rushroar, make a saddle for it, and charge at the nodes. If/when you get overencumbered, there's a few ways to get decent movement: \n\n1) ride chillet, his dash doesn't seem to be affected when you're too heavy. \n\n2) grapple gun will pull you no matter how much you're carrying\n\n\nThere's a ruined church in the area with all the red trees/grass. There's a bunch of metal ore behind it, and a fast travel point in front, so pretty much an ideal spot."

"body": "Figure out the max time you can take off work/school before you get in trouble, plan accordingly"
},
{
"body": "Here’s some tips that will make the game more enjoyable rather than being ‘too’ efficient or min-maxing.\n\nCatch a Vixy (or two) and put them in a ranch early on for free automatic palspheres and arrows to help you catch your other pals without needing to craft them. \n\nCatch a direhowl and craft its saddle as soon as you can for a quick early game mount. You can do the same with nightwing but flying can take some of the fun out of the exploration and it’s quite a slow mount.\n\nUse the respawn function (suicide) from the menu to travel to and unlock fast travel points in each starting area so you can get around easier to access different types of pal.\n\nMake at least one incubator as soon as you can early on and keep an eye out for eggs as you explore the world. Incubation time can be adjusted in your settings if you don’t want to wait days for a pal to hatch.\n\nOpen world bosses can be caught and make strong alpha pals with extra health. They also respawn every ingame day and are farmable for useful materials and sellable items for gold.\n\nThere are pal merchants in settlements and around the map which can buy pals you don’t want and can sell you useful base and combat pals that can be harder to catch with basic spheres (like katress, wixen and dumud).\n\nWooden structures burn so be careful when building important parts of your base.",

{
"body": "Build things out of stone till you get up to metal. If you just want to experience the early game without the constant interrupts, turn off raids. You can turn them back on once you get a few beefy tames. The level of mining, tree cutting, planting and fire is not just about how much they can do, it's also about if they can only do stone or ore or only primitive tech. . Use the Stand to keep you Pals on task. If you get Pals with or any of the red passives, like glutton or downtrodden, sell em. Work on leveling your pall box so you can get more bases. There is no real best pal for fights. I've seen many wins from the biggest to the smallest pals and done many with my own creations. If you want a surprise, toss any two pals in the breeding pen and see what hatches. \nOne last early game thing collect everything. You can either use it or sell it, or make something to sell. Have fun. "
