As you play the game more and get further along you’ll discover that water outclasses both of them together, but by then you’ll probably also better understand weapon synergies and timings for different a levels.",

True, La Borra does MASSIVE damage, but the Unholy Vespers are one of the best at simply keeping enemies away.\n\nLately, my go to has been Bible, Santa water, magic wand (since it targets closest enemies), and whatever else I feel like. If I absolutely want to destroy, throw in the cross. Heaven sword may not be the most visually pleasing, but it kills fast."

They both evolve by combining into a single slot, giving you another weapon slot to work with. Of course, I always go for the clock lancet and the laurel, along with the rings and red arrows. The remaining weapon slots I tend to base on whatever power ups I’ve grabbed. Usually fire wand, since I like picking up spinach.",

Sometimes you want to create items that are good at the early game but not as good at the end game so you can teach your players to think about other weapons and encourage experimentation. Give them something to latch on to that feels good to play to encourage them to play, and then give them reasons to want to grow. If you're beyond Garlic, then it did its job perfectly."

{
"body": "In terms of defense (without Golden Eggs), these 2 are easily one of the best combos together, indeed. Add in Magic Wand and outside of Golems and Death, you are borderline untouchable. \n\n\nAs you progress through the game you will find more broken combos on the offensive side (making defense mostly a moot point), but until that point its a good enough combo to get Level Clears."
},
{
"body": "Bible and garlic serve the same purpose, you’re wasting a weapon slot by using both. Bible or garlic or water plus something more long ranged is the ultimate combo. I’m a bible+phieraggi guy myself"

{
"body": "I like garlic to cover my early game, really helps clear bats and the like. This allows me to scale book and get enough upgrades where book replaces garlic. Sure i \"waste\" a weap9n slot but tbh i feel like late game i have 2 or 3 weapons doing all the work and the rest are all in case of emergency.\n\nBut i prefer holy water (i play tons of castlevania i am unable to call this item \"santa\" water) and the bible they scale much better together, duration, amount, area, speed, cool down all help these items",

"body": "With the new DLC, I have been running weapon combos to see what really works. 🤔 I have to say that 4 Seasons and it's upgrade just kill everything before anything gets to you. Accounts for 2x the DPS of anything else equipped. Also, Cand and Spin for upgrades are a beautiful combo."

{
"body": "I know I am late to this, but in my opinion:\n\n\nSanta water (upgraded), Bible (upgraded), pentagram (upgraded), guns (upgraded) and locket (upgraded).\n\n\nOnce I get those, I just walk away and cook dinner or something. It doesn't matter the DLC as I have all of them and have all achievements. That combo (IMO) is unbeatable. Ever since I discovered this combo, I don't use anything else and have never had a game over since."
